Our Story

Built on Brotherhood Since 1970

Nadar Mahajana Sangam S. Vellaichamy Nadar College was established in 1965. The B.Com department commenced in 1970 under Dr. C. Balasubbiah. Alumni from all B.Com and M.Com batches from 1970 to present are united under SVN-COMAT.

On 29th August 2010, under the initiative of Prof. Dr. K. Natarajan, the first Alumni Meet was held. On 30th December 2010, SVN-COMAT was officially registered as a public charitable trust. In the very first year, 120 alumni enrolled as members.

Trust Objectives

Brotherhood
Create brotherhood amongst alumni and present commerce students of NMSSVN College.
Education Aid
Provide assistance to needy children of alumni — irrespective of course, institution, caste or religion.
Corpus Fund
Create a self-sustaining corpus fund to carry out the vision of the founders.
Upliftment
Work for the upliftment of future generations of B.Com students of NMSSVN College.
College Image
Enhance the image of NMSSVN College through the achievements of its alumni.
Future Generations
Do all acts in furtherance of the above objects for the benefit of future generations.
